STRATA for Commercial Charging Networks
Fleet operators and other organizations creating new charging infrastructure for commercial vehicles can utilize STRATA as the master monitoring and management platform. With the cost of downtime for drivers being significant, STRATA is designed to alleviate the issues that have caused problems with early charging networks, and bring new capabilities that improve and sustain efficiency, including:

Comprehensive Maintenance Capability

STRATA utilizes sophisticated remote monitoring to detect problems in the field. All critical charging network components can be monitored, including onsite battery storage, power switchgear, physical security elements and others. Once a problem is isolated, STRATA invokes IBM’s class-leading Maximo maintenance and asset management system to issue and manage trouble tickets, arrange repairs and provide ongoing statistical analysis of individual charging unit performance.
Integration With New & Legacy Systems

Designed for large enterprises, STRATA can interoperate with virtually any internal or external end system, including dispatching, asset management, ERP, existing or downstream Charging Management Systems (CMS), electrical Dynamic Energy Resource Management (DERM), fleet management, payment systems and others. STRATA provides an extensive library of APIs and intelligent “connectors” that support the majority of current and legacy software interfaces. Terbine can work closely with in-house development teams or third party systems integrators to produce closely coupled solutions that bring the charging network into alignment with corporate goals and operating procedures.
Advanced Reporting

Through direct APIs and “smart” interfaces to Microsoft Power BI and Salesforce Tableau, STRATA supports generation of virtually any type and format of report based on the data that the platform captures. Uses such as internal cost and revenue accounting, regulatory compliance, submittals for carbon capture credits and ESG, maintenance operations and many others can be facilitated readily.

Telematics Synchronization
Virtually all EV models in all classes have built-in cellular transceivers, which automakers use to communicate with vehicles for applications such as OTA software updates. It is these cloud-based systems that make possible an entirely new level of charging operations and driver experiences. Through STRATA, where OEM or fleet telematics are accessible, the system will allow the vehicles themselves to reserve specific chargers that are known to be fully operational prior to arriving at charging stations, ensure that a valid payment method is present, initiate and conclude sessions without the driver having to use a mobile app.
This Tesla-style realtime matching of vehicles with working and available charging units can be achieved based on a variety of data feeds and processing through AI. The result is drivers being routed to chargers that are known to be operational and available, to include calculating when another vehicle is going to be finished and freeing that charger up. The reservation information can be presented via the in-vehicle display, mobile app or proprietary route planner/dispatching system.
