STRATA is designed for fleets to monitor public and private charging networks including third-party systems.
LAS VEGAS, NV – Terbine, a leader in intelligent mobility systems, has announced the rollout of its STRATA platform designed to bring unprecedented real-time supervision of EV charging networks regardless of who operates them. Utilizing advanced interconnections and sensor fusion processed by AI, the platform offers a first-of-its-kind ‘overview’ of EV infrastructure to ensure that vehicles are only routed to charging stations where the chargers are known to be fully operational and available.
Situational Awareness For Fleet Operators
STRATA can monitor Charge Point Operator (CPO) infrastructure across wide geographies and provides real time interfacing with underlying charger management software (CMS) from virtually any vendor. The platform offers a state-of-the-art “Mission Control” digital twin that gives commercial, consumer and military fleet operators comprehensive oversight of a wide range of charging infrastructure.
“We’ve heard from many fleet operators that they need to have visibility into charging networks even when they don’t own the infrastructure,” said David Knight, CEO of Terbine. “With STRATA we leverage Agentic AI and other sophisticated tools including an advanced Policy Engine that deals in real time with data access and ownership rights, regulatory and liability issues, plus other elements needed to create a solution that works for all of the players involved with the EV ecosystem.”
Vehicle Synchronization With Charging Systems
Key features of the STRATA platform include:
- Supervision: Real-time monitoring and fault detection across charging and energy systems
- Predictive Maintenance: Using machine learning, the system can predict when faults are likely to occur, allowing operators to preemptively issue trouble tickets, order parts, and dispatch technicians
- Synchronizing Vehicles With Charging Stations: When access to telematics or driver apps present in vehicles performing goods or people transport, STRATA can ensure that a driver or robotaxi is only sent to chargers that are known, at that point in time, to be operational and available
- STRATA Mission Control: The platform offers a digital twin depicting charging infrastructure called Mission Control, modeling the status and location of individual chargers, on-site battery storage units, and security monitors. Elements with their operational status appear on a large map display, giving operators a real-time, comprehensive view of network health even with third-party CPOs
Terbine aims to elevate charging network uptime to enterprise-level standards and make EVs symbiotic with infrastructure, ensuring a seamless and trouble-free experience for drivers of vehicles of all types and sectors including consumer, commercial, agriculture, construction and military logistics. The STRATA platform and Mission Control can be utilized via direct licensing or Platform-as-a-Service subscriptions.
